The company operated a large and growing fleet of renewable energy projects across numerous U.S. states. With the advent of FERC reporting requirements and increased granularity of ISO power price data, the company lacked the capability to manage the volume of data needed to fulfill its compliance reporting.

We performed a rapid assessment and analysis of the company’s price data intake and compliance filing processes, which revealed that the company’s home-grown ETRM system was acting as the data repository for compliance filings, and that the process lacked the capability to validate prices more granular than needed for trading. Designed a price capture and validation procedure, coupled with appropriate data warehousing technology independent of trading to enable the company to meet its filing requirements at scale and resume its business expansion plans.
